i haven’t really had any internet all christmas. i’m back in LONDRES now so i’m back in the land of the internetised, and apparently the land of snow.
CHRISTMAS brought with it…
- the presence of baby PIXIE. she is awesome.
- broken social scene tickets. [thanks joe]
- SNOW.
- a homemade diary from aaron, which has become a bit of a writing project, we’ll see how that one goes..
NEW YEARS brought with it…
- COSTUME PARTY FUN with batman, nacho libre, incarnatio, che guevara, little red riding hood&friends, edith piaf and… a giant ball ball. [photos to come]
- chestnuts roasting on an open [bon]fire and the lamest fireworks you’ve ever seen.
- KIR BRETON whilst lying under the stars with bon ivor.
- resolutions such as ‘work harder’, ‘buy less crap’, ‘sleep more’, ‘learn french’ and the like..
today is a snow day = no work.
better get back to it…

It’s basically the day after tomorrow

more photos of Pixie on facebook
i bought pixie this bear suit and she looks awesome in it. WIN.
The snow wipped out our internet, phone and TV for christmas.
Christmas Eve we went to mass at the local French Catholic church. It was full of local familes and lovely. During the service it began to snow heavy outside. Bex’s contractions started as we watched the nativity play.
Christmas day, we ate a whole lot of French food and watched Little Miss Sunshine.
At midnight, Matt and Bex went into Hospital, and gave birth to a baby girl at 6am this morning.
Merry Christmas All.
they used a REAL baby to play jesus in the nativity too. epic.

Cool Christmas cards by Raw Design, I want some.
i recieved one of these in the post earlier in december.
‘mulled wine’ - i liked it alot.
thanks chez.
Bethanie has been under thick snow these past days - we were going to drive to Geneva to hang out in the mountains, but we really haven’t needed to! No internet, no home phone and no car access without snow chains…
it epic.
so in the past three days it’s been pretty much non stop snowing.
we’re up to about six inches of powder at the moment and me and matt have been snowboarding the hills surrounding our house.
matt also made an amazing sledge.
we have photographic evidence of all of the above, but since the snow storm cut out our internet, we’ve had to whack the chains on the car, drive to mcdonalds, and abuse the free wifi [purchasing the occasional hot chocolate fudge sundae - yes they still sell them in france..!]
we happen to be without camera today though, so no photos as yet.
you’d think having no internet would have taught me to appreciate the important things in life [such as people and food..] but it’s pretty much just annoying.
i’m totally appreciating the snow though.. roll on white christmas.
